Salmon Faverolles

The Salmon Faverolles is a friendly, unique, and beautiful dual-purpose breed known for its gentle temperament and eye-catching appearance. Prized for both dependable egg production and quality meat, these birds are easily recognized by their fluffy feathering, full beards and muffs, feathered legs, and a distinctive fifth toe. Their soft salmon-colored plumage gives hens an elegant look, while roosters display striking black, white, and golden coloring.

In terms of production, they yield approximately 180–240 cream to light brown eggs per year. Mature hens reach an average weight of 6–8 lbs, while roosters weigh between 8–10 lbs.
