Lavender Orpington Chicks

Lavender Orpingtons are a calm, friendly dual-purpose breed prized for their stunning lavender plumage and excellent temperament. These birds mature into large, fluffy chickens that are ideal for families, backyard flocks, and hobby farms. Hens are dependable layers of medium to large light brown eggs, typically producing around 170–220 eggs per year. They generally begin laying eggs around 18-24 weeks of age. Known for their docile and affectionate nature, Lavender Orpingtons are easy to handle and do well around children and other flock members. Mature hens typically weigh 7–8 lbs, while roosters can reach 9–10 lbs.
